As a lifelong, self-taught artist, her journey into art unfolded naturally, one opportunity leading to the next. As she progressed through life, art became an undeniable force, shaping her path and filling it with purpose.
What began as a passion for sharing her knowledge with friends quickly grew into the founding of a successful community art school which flourished and became an indisputable hub for creativity. There, she helped young artists reach their full potential by building personal portfolios and preparing them for acceptance into art high schools and universities. Her success and reputation naturally led to a position as a public school art teacher, where her dedication was soon recognized. Within her first two years, she was not only named Teacher of the Year but also received the Skevy Rallis Award of Honor from the Dade Art Educators Association.
Originally from France, Delphine’s artistic journey has spanned four countries, eventually leading her to Miami, Florida. There, she draws inspiration from the lush tropical landscape, the vibrant energy of the city’s multicultural communities, and the thriving local art scene. These influences infuse her work with wonder, curiosity, and a sense of belonging.
The transition from teaching to creating art full-time was encouraged by her late partner, David, who not only became her greatest supporter but inspired her to pursue her artistic vision publicly. His belief in her, as well as his recent passing, are woven deeply into this exhibit, marking a milestone in her artistic journey.
As an emerging artist, Delphine now invites audiences to participate in her exploration of life’s beauty and complexity, offering a visual journey grounded in personal growth, love, and resilience.
